Well Road Productions

WHO WE ARE – THE ORGANISATION
Well Road Productions is a very small charitable organisation set up and run with the express purpose of making a contribution to the preservation of the culture heritage and history of the Scottish Borders. We had been working informally since 2011 and in 2013 we were registered as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCO 44142).

AIMS
Our stated aim is ‘To contribute to the preservation, promotion, education and understanding of the Culture, History and Heritage of the Borderlands and Scotland as a whole’.

ABOUT OUR NAME
We are based in a very small village, Eckford, with one through road and two smaller roads running off it. One of the roads, where the villagers in the past collected their water, is called the Well Road. It is a quiet place, popular for an evening stroll. This seemed to fit our organisation, somehow.

ABOUT OUR LOGO
There is no well left in Eckford now so, sadly, the structure shown in our logo is a work of fiction. Many people misunderstand our initials, WRP, and some mischief makers have suggested that they stand for We’re Really Pissed – though we have no idea who or what they are talking about.
