An evening of live folk music with Scottish Borders band Real Time, featuring Kenny Speirs, Ian Anderson and John Rafferty.

Kenny Speirs has been a well-known figure on the national and international folk circuit for over thirty years ever since the John Wright Band burst onto the scene in the early nineties performing at some of the biggest festivals and stages in the UK and europe. Turning professional in 1995, Kenny released seven albums with the JWB, earning a deserved reputation as a sensitive guitarist, singer and arranger, also finding time to release two solo albums.

Ian Anderson cut his teeth with Fiddlers Leap which led to numerous appearances at Celtic connections, Orkney folk festival and was featured in several of the renowned “Complete songs of Robert Burns” and “Complete songs of Robert Tannahill” recordings by Linn records either as a singer or instrumentalist, alongside many of Scotlands most well known musicians.

John Rafferty is a “rocker” and is an accomplished lead guitarist lending an interesting sound to the ostensibly trad songs. He’s also no very big so doesn’t take up much room in the van.

Doors open 7.30pm for 8pm start. BYOB.

TICKETS £10 from https://www.lothianhall.co.uk/real-time/  (preferred) or on door.
